THE DETAILS, IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Privacy & cookies.

Trevility is operated by Ryan Boyle in Scotland, United Kingdom. Ryan is responsible for how your personal information is used. For privacy questions or requests, email trevility@outlook.com.

When you ask for a website review

We use the name, business name, website address, email address and any message you provide to review your website, respond to your enquiry and discuss work you have asked about. Please do not include sensitive personal information or information about your customers in the form.

We process information needed to take steps at your request before entering a contract. For business contact details and other correspondence, we also rely on our legitimate interests in responding to relevant enquiries and operating the business. We do not add you to a marketing mailing list or sell your information.

How your enquiry is sent

If the form offers “Prepare my review email”, your details remain in your browser until you choose to send them using your own email service. Preparing or copying a draft does not submit an enquiry to Trevility.

When direct form sending is enabled, enquiries are processed by our hosting provider and Resend, our email delivery provider, and delivered to the Trevility Outlook inbox, provided by Microsoft. Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated submissions and may process device, browser and network information.

Website hosting and technical information

This website is hosted using OpenAI’s Sites service. OpenAI and Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser details and security logs to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare also provides DNS for the custom domain.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, transfers must be covered by appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual arrangements. You can contact us for more information about the providers used for your enquiry.

Cookies and analytics

Trevility does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or visitor analytics in this version of the website. If direct form sending is enabled, the security check uses Cloudflare Turnstile. We have not enabled Turnstile pre-clearance cookies. Any future optional analytics or marketing cookies will require a review of this notice and any necessary consent controls.

Relevant business enquiries from Trevility

If we contact a business about a relevant website improvement, we may use its public website, business name, contact details and notes about the opportunity. Where this identifies a person, we assess our legitimate interests and provide privacy information at first contact. We check the applicable electronic marketing rules before sending; a publicly listed email address is not, by itself, consent.

You can object at any time by replying or emailing trevility@outlook.com. We stop marketing to you and retain only the minimum information needed to honour that choice. We do not use email tracking pixels or sell prospect lists.

How long information is kept

Uncontacted prospect research is normally removed after 90 days. Prospect correspondence without a response is normally removed after six months, except the minimum details needed to honour an opt-out. Unsuccessful inbound enquiries are normally deleted within 12 months of the last meaningful contact. If you become a customer, necessary project and accounting records are kept for the applicable legal and business retention periods. Security and provider logs follow the relevant provider’s retention settings.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests or request a portable copy. Email us to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page if our services or use of personal information changes.
